Remote User Instructions
Your remote access to the Filpac server has been established.
You should already have received an email with the following:
Computer
Installation Link
DOMAIN
User Name
Password
(If not, call us at 1-800-383-8400.)
Follow the instructions below to set up your server access.
1. MAC Users
Download and install Microsoft Remote Desktop. Or get it from the App Store.
(If your Mac OS is earlier than 10.14, try this link.)
Once the remote desktop is installed, add a new connection. Call it "Filpac". Enter the Computer (which might also be called URL), your User Name and Password. Leave the gateway blank.
This should connect you to the Filpac server, where you'll see a Windows desktop with the Filpac icon.
2. Windows Users
Go to our email message and click on the Installation Link. Click Run and follow the instructions. It will leave a Filpac icon on your desktop. Double-click the icon and let it connect. Once connected, enter the DOMAIN, User Name and Password in this fashion:
User: DOMAIN\User
Name that's a backslash
Password: Password
case-sensitive
Once connected ...
You might receive an error saying the server has a blank or unknown certificate. This is a precaution to be heeded if the server is unknown to you. Disregard the warning; you know us!
We recommend that you change your default password. In Filpac go to Help->Manual->Filpac in the Cloud->Password Reset for instructions.
If you're a Windows user, you can also log into the server using Remote Desktop Connection. (Start->Programs->Accessories->Remote Desktop) The difference is that you'll have access to a complete desktop rather than just the Filpac application. Here you'll find the utility to change your password. If you connect using Remote Desktop, your login credentials are the same. Just connect to the Computer and enter your credentials as described in Step 3 above.
Call 800-383-8400 if you need assistance.
